Common questions
Short answers about price, timing, SEO, integrations and how the work is organized.
- How much does e-commerce modernization cost?
- It depends on what needs to change, which is why I start with a fixed-price audit. After that, each stage of modernization gets its own fixed price. I don't quote a total on the first call because it would be a guess, not an estimate.Architecture audit →
- What do I get from the architecture audit?
- A 15–25 page report and a walkthrough call: a system map, bottlenecks with numbers from production, a risk map covering revenue, SEO and integrations, a decision for each major component and a priced first stage. The report is yours to share with any team.Architecture audit →
- Will we lose SEO if we move to Next.js?
- Not if the move is prepared. Before any work I collect every URL that brings traffic, build a 301 map, carry over meta tags and structured data one to one, and compare rendered HTML before and after. I switch section by section and monitor Search Console for several weeks.Modernization →
- Should we leave 1C-Bitrix?
- Usually not. Bitrix handles orders, pricing and ERP sync well. The problems tend to be in the storefront, search and server setup, and those can be fixed without replacing the backend. Leaving makes sense when the platform blocks your business model, not when the team is tired of it.Headless Bitrix + Next.js →Search and catalog →
- Will ERP, warehouse and CRM integrations keep working?
- Yes, that's the main constraint. Integrations stay where they are, and the storefront changes. If an integration is fragile, we fix it as a separate stage with monitoring and retries.Modernization →
- How long does it take?
- The audit takes five business days. After that, work goes in stages, each shipped to production separately. I give timelines for a stage after the audit, once catalog size and integrations are clear.Modernization →
- Do you work alone? Who writes the code?
- I handle the architecture and critical code. For larger scopes I work alongside your team. There are no account managers in between: you talk to the person making the decisions.
- How are you different from an agency?
- An agency benefits from selling a big project. Hourly support benefits from more hours. I benefit when the system gets simpler, so I can tell you "you don't need this", and sometimes I do.Fractional tech lead →
- How do contracts and payment work?
- Contract and NDA before I see any code. The audit is a fixed fee, modernization is paid per stage, and the monthly engagement is billed monthly. Code, access and documentation stay with you.
- Do you work with companies outside Russia? In what language?
- Yes. I work remotely in English and Russian, across time zones from Moscow to CET.
- What do you need to get started?
- A few sentences about the store and the problem, through the form or Telegram. I reply within one business day and we set up a free 30-minute call.
- Can we hire you full-time?
- I'm open to remote Senior/Lead roles on product teams. Details and CV are on the About page.About and CV →
